The Laurence Olivier Prize in the nomination "The best performance of the auxiliary staff in a musical" is a British award awarded by the London Theater Society , in recognition of professional achievements in the field of musical theater. It was created in 1976 and renamed 1984 in honor of the great British actor .

In the period from 1991 to 2014, there was no division into male and female roles of auxiliary composition in the musical: actors of both sexes could be represented in this nomination. In 2015, the nomination was divided into two categories: “The best supporting cast actor in a musical” and “Best supporting cast actor in a musical” .
For all the time of its existence, 21 actor and actress, as well as the chorus of the musical “Jerry Springer: Opera” in 2004 received it. Actresses Jenny Galloway and Tracy Bennett won the majority of awards in the nomination "The best performance of the auxiliary composition in the musical"; they are two prize winners.
