Creation History and Description
For the first time, the Bank of Russia became aware of plans to issue a commemorative banknote in 2009 [2] . It was supposed to be the banknote of one of the running denominations - 50, 100 or 500 rubles. Earlier in Russia commemorative banknotes have never been issued. At the end of 2011, the face value of the future banknote was determined - 100 rubles and the term for its release - 100 days before the Olympics. The competition for the design of the banknote drawing was attended by 12 students of the I.E. Repin Institute at the Academy of Arts [3] . In the end, a sketch of Pavel Bushuev depicting a soaring snowboarder was chosen.
For the first time, an image of a future banknote was presented on March 12, 2013 [4] .
She became the second in the world dedicated to the Olympic Games, after a 10 yuan banknote issued for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games . Part of the print run is issued in gift wrapping [5] .
The banknote was put into circulation in 2013, but the obverse and reverse of the banknote indicate the year of the games - 2014.
In total, three series of banknotes were issued: AA, aa, Aa, and Aa is a series of substitutions (instead of the marriage of other series) and is considered more rare. Circulations: AA series - 10 million units, aa - 10 million, Aa - 650 thousand .

ATM reception problems
Immediately after the release, it was reported that all ATMs in Russia would not be able to accept a new banknote within a month for technical reasons, since the manufacturer of ATM equipment NCR did not receive its templates for receipt from the Bank of Russia [6] .
The main throwing of banknotes into the market was to take place immediately before the Olympic Games, when all ATMs would already be able to recognize the banknote [7] .
Copyright allegations
After the banknote was issued, a photo of a snowboarder dated 2005 [8] was found on the SXC.hu website, very similar to the banknote, and the creators of the banknote were accused of plagiarism. However, the original drawing of Pavel Bushuev, according to which the banknote was created, externally differs from the detected photograph [9] . According to Bushuyev, he drew his drawing himself, and created a modified version in Goznak, using his drawing only as an idea [10] .
In Goznak, charges of plagiarism were called ridiculous, explaining that the snowboarder was turned to the right on the banknote and to the left in the photograph. In addition, when creating the banknote, a special photo shoot took place, where a person was photographed from different points [11] .
According to the representative of Goznak, the artist Sergey Kozlov, who was developing the banknote design, could use one of the photos on the network when creating it, which is the norm when creating banknotes, and processed it by deploying the image in a more correct position [12] .
