Geography
The village is located on the banks of the river Pestovka [2] or Tetera. [3]
History
According to the Lists of the populated areas of the Russian Empire in 1872, the village belonged to the 1st camp of the Galich district of the Kostroma province . There were 16 yards in it , 38 men and 40 women lived. [2]
According to the 1897 census , 127 people lived in the village (53 men and 74 women). [3]
According to the List of populated areas of the Kostroma province in 1907, the village belonged to the Kostomsky volost of the Galich district of the Kostroma province. According to the volost government, in 1907 there were 33 peasant households and 172 inhabitants. The main occupations of the villagers were painting and carpentry. [3]
Before the municipal reform of 2010, the village was part of the Proninsky rural settlement. [4] [5]
