Geography
The village is located on the eponymous river. [2]
History
According to the lists of populated places of the Russian Empire in 1872, the village belonged to the 1st camp of the Galich district of the Kostroma province . It consisted of 8 yards , lived 31 men and 41 women. [2]
According to the 1897 census , 66 people lived in the village (30 men and 36 women). [3]
According to the List of populated areas of the Kostroma province in 1907, the village belonged to the Kholmovskaya volost of the Galich district of the Kostroma province. According to the volost administration for 1907 there were 16 peasant households and 91 inhabitants. There was a brick factory in the village. The main occupations of the villagers were painting and agricultural work. [3]
Before the municipal reform of 2010, the village was part of the Proninsky rural settlement. [4] [5]
