Biography
Born in the World in the family of the local rabbi Jacob Gershon Rabinovich and Esther-Liba Zakheim (daughter of the rabbi Joseph Zakheim). He studied at the heder , at Yeshiva Telsha and Slobodka . Passed the rabbi exam. At the age of 18, he joined the Zionist movement. From 1890 it was published in the famous Jewish editions of Hatsefira, Hazman, Di Welt and Hamelitz. He printed feuilleton in the St. Petersburg newspaper Tog and the Warsaw Gaynt.
After marrying Sarah, the daughter of Meer Halpern from Minsk , who owned a publishing house, moved to this city and began to sell books. He took an active part in the Zionist movement of Belarus , was a member of the Presidium of the organization and secretary of the Jewish community of Minsk .
In 1925 he emigrated to Eretz Yisrael , engaged in book trade in Jerusalem .
He collected Jewish folklore, compiled a large collection of folk proverbs, sayings, jokes, Hebraic elements in the Yiddish language.
