Biography
Eduard Gaykovich Vanunts was born on February 2, 1929 in the city of Rostov-on-Don.
In 1951 he graduated from the Electrotechnical Department of the Leningrad Institute of Cinema Engineers (FACE) . He worked as head of the technical department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Cinematography of the Armenian SSR , sound engineer at the “Armenfilm” film studio. Since 1968 - a full-time sound engineer at the Lenfilm film studio.
He recorded classical music for the All-Union Musical Fund.
The author of a number of articles on sound engineering issues published in the magazines “Cinema and Television Techniques”, “Art of Armenia”, “Literary Armenia”, “Theater” (Armenia).
Honored Artist of the Armenian SSR (1967).
Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (1998).
Member of the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR (Leningrad Branch).
