Biography
Born in 1919 in Saratov . He graduated from the seven-year school. In 1939 he was drafted into the Red Army . On the fronts of World War II from August 1942. He fought on the Stalingrad , Voronezh , Stepnoy , 2nd and 3rd Ukrainian fronts. He took part in the battles of Stalingrad and Kursk, the liberation of the Ukrainian SSR .
By a decree of the Presidium of the USSR Supreme Council, dated December 20, 1943, for the courage and courage shown in the performance of combat missions of the enemy reconnaissance command and guard, Sergeant Simbirtsev Vasily Nikitovich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union. But the Hero was not destined to receive the highest awards of the Motherland. On January 24, 1944, the guard sergeant V.N. Simbirtsev died in battle on the outskirts of the city of Krivoy Rog, Dnepropetrovsk region of the Ukrainian SSR. He was buried in the square of the city of Krivoy Rog.
He was awarded the Orders of Lenin , Red Star , medals "For Courage", "For the Defense of Stalingrad."
