History
Wyong is located on the lands of the Australian aborigines of the Darkinjung tribe. Translated from their language, Wyong means "place of running water." William Cape was the first European to settle in the area and bring cattle and sheep to these places. That was in 1825.
Development
The completion of the F3 Freeway Highway shortened the travel time from Sydney to Wyong by 1 hour 40 minutes. Wyong serves the city rail station. [1] .
