Biography
From the nobles. He graduated from the Lubar district school and in 1837, with a gold medal, Vinnitsa gymnasium. He entered the Vilna Medical and Surgical Academy , from where, 2 years later, in the fall of 1840, he transferred to the 3rd year of the Faculty of Medicine at Moscow University , where he graduated in 1842 as a doctor of the 1st department. In 1843 he was appointed assistant resident , and three years later - an assistant at the therapeutic department of faculty clinics. In 1848 he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medicine for his thesis “De ictero” (“ Jaundice ”) and in 1849 he was elected an adjunct in the department of the faculty therapeutic clinic; for 10 years he helped professor A.I. Auver ; independently taught preparatory therapeutic clinic (in Latin) and semiotics of internal diseases. In 1853 he was on a four-month scientific trip to Germany and France.
In 1859 he became an extraordinary professor , and since 1862 - an ordinary professor in the department of private pathology and therapy at Moscow University . In the years 1863-1864. headed a therapeutic clinic; in 1865, retired due to illness.
Since 1859, he was secretary of the Moscow Physical-Medical Society .
He was buried at Vvedensky cemetery .
