The Black-Spasskoye - the disappeared lake in the Shatura urban settlement of the Shatura district of the Moscow region , was connected by a channel with the north-eastern part of the Holy Lake.

Physical-geographical characteristic
The lake was one of the five Shatura lakes, along with the Holy , Black (Torbeevsky), White and Murom . In this regard, Shaturu was called the city of five lakes, by analogy with Moscow - βthe port of the five seasβ [1] .
The lake area was about 0.2 kmΒ² [2] , length - about 640 m, width - about 470 m [3] . The depth of the lake reached 3.5 m.
During the peat developments made in the vicinity of the lake, it was covered with snags and became intensively silted and overgrown. At present, a swamp overgrown with sedge and reed has formed at the site of the lake [1] .
