Black Lake is a lake in the Shatursky urban settlement of the Shatursky district of the Moscow region , in the north-eastern part of the city of Shatura . It is connected by a channel with Lake Svyatoe .

Physico-geographical characteristics
The origin of the lake is glacial .
Area - 0.15 kmΒ² (15 ha), length - about 600 m, width - about 450 m [1] . The lake is characterized by sloping, low shores.
Depth - 3-7 m, the maximum depth reaches 10 m [1] . The bottom is pitted, sandy. The water is translucent, peaty with a brown color. Visibility from 25 to 40 cm.
The lake overgrowth is less than 20%. Along the shores of the lake grows a forest and shrubs. Among aquatic vegetation, reeds , reeds , elodea , duckweed are common. The lake is inhabited by pike , perch , crucian carp , roach , pike perch , bream , ide , carp , silver carp , common carp , grass carp , ruff , catfish , and bleak [2] .
The lake is used for recreational purposes. It has economic value.
