USSR Championship in International Women's Drafts 1980

The 6th USSR International Women’s Drafts Championship was held in 1980 in Vilnius , Lithuanian SSR in a circular system. It was attended by 16 athletes. For a victory, 1 point was awarded, for a draw ½ point and for a loss of 0 points. For the first time the semi-final was held at this championship.

According to the results of the round robin tournament, two athletes from Kharkiv Alla Agranovskaya and Lyubov Shaus from Vilnius scored an equal number of points. Both athletes were awarded the title of champion of the USSR. Bronze winner was another athlete from Vilnius Zivile Sakalauskaite . This championship was the first for the future multiple world champion Zoya Sadovskaya .
