Olivia Kate Cook ( born Olivia Kate Cooke , born December 27, 1993 [1] , Greater Manchester , England , UK ) is a British actress . Gained fame thanks to the role of Emma Decody, in the television series A&E , " Motel Bates " (2013–2017) [2] [3] . Also known for her roles in the films: Wiji: Devil's Board (2014), Golem (2016) and First Player Get Ready (2018).

Early years
Olivia Cook was born December 27, 1993 in the city of Oldham, Greater Manchester, in the family of John (a retired police officer) and Lindsay ( nee Wild) Cook [4] . She has a younger sister, Eleanor [5] . When she was little, her parents divorced, and she and her sister stayed with her mother [6] . At an early age she was engaged in ballet and gymnastics.
Career
Before taking part in the filming of the television series " Motel Bates " (2013-2017), the actress played a major role in the British TV series " Outage " and " The Secret of Crickley Hall " [7] . This was followed by roles in horror films such as: “ Experiment: Evil ” (2014), “ Wiji: The Devil's Board ” (2014) and “ Golem ” (2016).
On March 29, 2018, the sci-fi adventure film directed by Stephen Spielberg , “The First Player to Get Ready ” (2018), which is a film adaptation of the eponymous novel by Ernest Klein , was released for rent [8] . Olivia Cook played one of the main roles in it.
Personal life
The actress currently resides in New York. [9] In 2014, Cook supported the Save the Children campaign by appearing in the Bulgari ad [10] .
Previously met with actor Alex Rowe [11] . Since 2015, meets with actor Christopher Abbott [9] [12] .
