History
In 1894, in connection with the construction of the Trans-Siberian Railway, five miles from the village of Ilansky, the construction of a depot and station began. At the Ilanskaya station, a village arose. The economic structure of the village of Ilansky (modern name Old Ilan) has changed: there were crafts associated with the railway (logging for sleepers and buildings, burning charcoal for the forges of the station).
