Biography
In childhood and adolescence he lived in Borås , where he was first engaged in swimming . He made his debut in wrestling at the age of 21.
At the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, he fought in the category up to 79 kilograms (average weight); 4 persons challenged the title. The elimination of the tournament took place as penalties accumulated. Three judges judged the fight, no penalty points were awarded for a clear victory, 1 penalty point was awarded for a victory by decision of the judges at any ratio of votes, 2 penalty points were awarded for a loss by a decision 2-1, a loss of 3-0 by a decision and a net loss were punishable by 3 penalty points. [2] . Despite the fact that Axel Cadier lost both of his bouts, he took third place, since the fourth wrestler, Frenchman Emile Pualve , lost the first bout and refused further competitions.

In 1933 he became the champion of Europe in Greco-Roman wrestling, in 1935 he confirmed the title.
At the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, he fought in the category of up to 87 kilograms (light heavy); the title was disputed by 13 people. The tournament regulations remained the same. Having won all the fights, Axel Kadier became the Olympic champion.

In 1937 he won the European Championship in both Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling.
He continued to perform until the mid-1940s, then became a coach, in particular, coached the Norwegian wrestling team, was an instructor in Paris , and later left for the USA , from where he returned in the late 1950s.
He died in 1974.
