Geography
Located in the northeastern part of the Palekh region, 14 km northeast of Palekh [2] .
History
According to the administrative division of pre-revolutionary Russia, the village of Vareyevo was the center of the Vareyevsky volost, the Vyaznikovsky district , the Vladimir province . It was located away from the Arakcheevsky tract and was first known as Bogorodskoe on the Pichuga river.
In 1805, a church with three altars was built in the village: Assumption of the Most Holy Mother of God, Intercession and St. Basil. To this day the church has not survived. By the beginning of the 20th century, Vareyevo transferred its administrative functions to the roadside village of Panovo .
