Biography
Graduate of Stephen Bathory University in Vilna . In 1928 he received a doctorate.
He appeared in journalistic articles in the weekly Slovo. In 1933, together with several writers under the pseudonym Felicia Romanovskaya, he published in the Slovo magazine parts of the detective satirical Vilensky Crime novel, which was published in the book version the same year.
Member of the September campaign of 1939 . Then he was captured by parts of the Red Army and was held in the camps of the NKVD of the USSR in Kozelsk and Gryazovets near Vologda.
Since the fall of 1941 - the head of the bureau of historical research in the army of General Anders .
After the end of World War II, he lived in exile in the UK .
He was the first editor of the Polish weekly Od A do Z.
As a historian, he dealt with the history of religion and the relations of different faiths in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania of the 16th-17th centuries, the history of the tycoons of the eastern estates of the Commonwealth , the history of the Poles during the Second World War.
