Sheikhism Maflahi ( Arabic: مشيخة المفلحي ), or Muflihi - a sheikh in South Arabia that existed until the middle of the 20th century . Over the years, it was part of the Upper Yafa Sultanate , the British Aden Protectorate , the Federation of the South Arab Emirates and the Federation of South Arabia . The capital was the city of Maflahi .

History
Around 1800, sheikhism became part of the Upper Yafa Sultanate. In its composition in the XIX century it became part of the Aden Protectorate. In 1959-1960, the sheikhship was torn away from Upper Yafa, since the sultanate stubbornly refused to join the Federation of the South Arab Emirates established by the British. In 1962, Maflahi became part of the Federation of South Arabia.
The last Sheikh El-Qasim ibn Abd al-Rahman I was overthrown on August 12, 1967 , the sheikhs were liquidated, and its territory became part of the People's Republic of South Yemen . Currently, the territory of the former sheikhs is part of the Republic of Yemen .
