Georgy Alekseevich Korostelev ( 1885 - 1932 ) - Soviet party leader. Member of the RSDLP since 1905, in 1924-1925 a candidate for membership in the Central Committee of the RCP (B.).

Biography

The son of a peasant, brother of Alexander Korostelev . He took an active part in revolutionary activities, was repeatedly arrested, and was in exile.

Member of the Civil War, since January 1918 a member of the Orenburg Military Revolutionary Committee. Since 1919, Chairman of the Orenburg CHX, since 1920 Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Orenburg Provincial Council, Commissioner of the Turkestan Railway.

From September 1921 to October 1924, Executive Secretary of the Kyrgyz (Kazakh) Regional Committee of the RCP (B), in 1922-1924 Secretary of the Kyrgyz Bureau of the Central Committee of the RCP (B). From October 1924 to 1925, Secretary of the Vyatka Provincial Committee of the RCP (B.). In 1924-1925, a candidate member of the Central Committee of the RCP (B.).

In 1925-1929, Chairman of the Moscow Provincial Control Commission of the RCP (B.). In 1929, a member of the Board of the People's Commissariat of the Workers 'and Peasants' Inspection of the RSFSR.

In 1925-1932 he was a member of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks), in 1926-1930 he was a member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, and from July 1930 to 1932 he was a member of the Party Board of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks.

The delegate of the X and XIII All-Russian Congresses of Soviets of Workers, Peasants, Cossack Deputies, was elected a member of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee.

He died in 1932 in Moscow, was buried in the Novodevichy cemetery .

In Orenburg [1] and Samara [2] , the streets are named after the Korostelev brothers.
