Ginzburg, the film is marked by the seal of Protazanov’s creative personality. [1] M. Aleinikov attributed the film to the best productions of Protazanov, putting him on a par with the films Anfisa (1912), Devil, Past Life (both 1914), Queen of Spades, Family Happiness ( both - 1916), "Father Sergius" (1918).
