Power failure in the UK .
In the capital of Great Britain, London and some areas in the south-east of the country, on August 28, 2003 , a large-scale blackout occurred in the evening. About two-thirds of the metro and part of the trams stopped moving, streetlights and warning lights in the areas of power failure went out, there was chaos in urban transport. The cause of the power outage was an accident in the transformer system.
In the London subway were about 250 thousand people who were evacuated from trains stopped in tunnels.
Electricity supply resumed 34 minutes after it was turned off.
