Content
Story
During the “ garbage hunt ”, the eccentric Irene Bullock, a representative of a wealthy family, meets a beggar named Godfrey, an ideal candidate for the role of a “forgotten man” at a city dump. Godfrey agrees to help the girl, partly from a desire to see what this game consists of, and partly from a desire to teach a lesson to the arrogant Cornelia, sister Irene. After the latter receives the coveted prize, the tramp expresses everything he thinks about these amusements of high society. Irene, delighted with this man’s sense of humor and self-esteem, offers him to work with them as a lackey. The next day, Godfrey arrives at the house of the eccentric Bullocks to begin his difficult duties ...
