“The Return of Superfly” ( Eng. The Return of Superfly ) - American action movie in 1990. Continuation of the films Super Fly (1972) and Super Fly Dynamite (1973). The film was directed by the producer of both previous parts of Sig Shor. The starring actor in both films and Superflay director Ron O'Neill did not take part in the creation of the film, the role of Priest went to television actor Nathan Purdy.

Content
Story
After many years of absence, the Priest, who started a criminal activity, returned from Paris to New York to find those responsible for the murder of his old friend Eddie. At the airport, he is detained by the drug police, offering a choice between a term for old crimes and working undercover to destroy the new drug lord Hector, crushing the city under him. Priest rejects the offer and decides to sort it out on his own. In the meantime, Hector finds out about the arrival of Priest and his arrest and sends his people to kill the returnee. After the murder of a new girlfriend of Priest by killers waiting for him, he realizes that Hector cannot be defeated by legal means and, together with his friend Eddie Willie, a specialist in weapons and explosives, begins his war.

The soundtrack was released on August 13, 1990 via Capitol Records [3] and contained songs by Curtis Mayfield , as well as various hip-hop artists. The title track for Superfly 1990 was performed by Mayfield and Ice-Ti . The soundtrack did not come close to such success as the soundtrack of the first Superflay , also written by Mayfield, and took only 72nd place on the Billboard Top R & B / Hip-Hop Albums .
