Geography
The village of Chizhgora is located in the southwestern part of the Mezen district, on the left bank of the Sova River, not far from its confluence with the Nemnyuga River. On the right bank of the Sova is the village of Sovpolye . To the north of Chizhgora and Sovpolya Nemnyugu crosses the bridge of the highway " Arkhangelsk - Pinega - Kimzha - Mezen ".

The population of the village, according to the 2010 All-Russian Population Census , was 151 people [1] .
