Geography
Novopetrovsky is located in the central part of the Dolgorukovsky district , 8 km northeast of the Dolgorukovo district center. Located on the banks of a small stream tributary of the river Svishnya .
History
Novopetrovsky farm has been known since the 20s of the XX century . It was founded by immigrants from the neighboring village of Petrovka , according to which it got its name. It was first mentioned in the 1926 census of the USSR as a farm , 12 yards, 71 residents [2] .
Since 1928, as part of the newly formed Dolgorukovsky district of the Yelets district of the Central Chernozem region . After the separation of the Central Black Sea District in 1934, the Dolgorukovsky district became part of the Voronezh region , in 1935 the Kursk region , and in 1939 the Orel region . Since January 6, 1954 as part of the Dolgorukovsky district of the Lipetsk region .

Transport
Novopetrovsky is connected by dirt roads to the villages of Petrovka and Pashinino .
4.5 km to the east is the Ploty railway station (line Yelets - Valuyki, South - East Railway ).
