Son of Guillaume II de Bo , Prince-Co-Regent of Orange, and Preciosa N.
In 1239 he married Giburg, the daughter of Bertrand de Mevouillon, Senor de Mizon, who gave everything that he owned in the dioceses of Sisteron and Gap to the dowry for his daughter.
On June 13, 1246, Guillaume and his uncle Raymond I , Prince of Orange, made a partition, with Raymond receiving the lion's share of the possessions, and Guillaume got only the large tower of Orange Castle and the lord of Courtezon. In 1247, Guillaume and Raymond were captured by the rebel inhabitants of Orange . July 1, 1248 he made a will, according to which all his possessions (including in Sardinia), if his marriage remained childless, were to go to Uncle Raymond I, with the exception of Curtezon, who was bequeathed to his brother Raymond II. In 1256, Guillaume III and his wife brought homage to Karl of Anjou for their possessions in the Gap diocese.
