Potapovo is a village in the Ruzsky district of the Moscow region , part of the rural settlement of Ivanovo . In 2006, there was no permanent population in the village [1] . Until 2006, Potapovo was part of the Ivanovo rural district [2] .

The village is located in the north-west of the district, near the border with the Volokolamsk district , about 16 kilometers north-west of Ruza , on the banks of an unnamed stream flowing into the Ruza reservoir [3] , the center height above sea level is 215 m [4] . The nearest settlements - 200 m in the south of Lashino , 1.5 km east - Vederniki ; highway 46K-9191 Volokolamsk -Ruza passes at the southern outskirts of the village [5] .
