Biography
Born on May 30 ( June 11 ), 1876 , the son of a valid State Councilor Ivan Geideman. He had older brothers: Ivan (b. 7.8.1869), Victor (11.11.1872) and Sergey (16.2.1874) [1] .
He graduated from the Tiflis Cadet Corps (1893) and the 1st Pavlovsk Military School in the 1st category (1895), from where he was released as second lieutenant to the 20th Artillery Brigade.
He participated in the Russian-Japanese war . In 1905 he graduated from the Nikolaev Academy of the General Staff in the 1st category.
Art. Adjutant Staff Caucasus Grenadier Division (29.05.1908-02.09.1912). He was seconded to the Odessa Military School for the teaching of military sciences (from 02/02/1912; on 06/06/1914 in office). Lieutenant Colonel (12/06/1912).
Member of the First World War. Colonel (12/06/1914).
I.d. Chief of Staff of the 18th Infantry Division (from 06/06/1915). Commander of the 30th Poltava Infantry Regiment (from 01/05/1916; 01/03/1917 in office). Major General (11/21/1917)

Member of the White Movement as part of the Volunteer Army since 1918. He took part in the Second Kuban campaign . From June to November 19 (December 2), 1918 - Chief of Staff of the 1st Infantry Division . With 14 (27) November 1918 - temporarily Commander 1st Officer's General Markov regiment .
In Stavropol, another "replenishment" arrived in the regiment: Colonel Geideman, appointed by his commander "legally". The Markovites only knew about him that he was the Chief of Staff of the 1st Infantry Division. This told them about his proximity to the regiment. But, when they saw him, his noble appearance, in the eyes of mind and will; when in his words and actions they determined not a formalist, but a deep and serious boss; when he posed himself as if introducing himself to the regiment and having the honor of commanding him, and not making a formal review of him, everyone considered Colonel Heideman his worthy commander. Even his, somewhat overweight figure, was not shaken by the opinion that their regiment, like light, mobile infantry, needed the same light and mobile commander as, for example, General Markov. On November 19 (December 2) he replaced the wounded General N. S. Timanovsky as commander of the 1st Brigade of the 1st Infantry Division. Chief of Staff (brigade commander) of the 1st Army Corps (from 11/19/1918).
November 20 (December 3), 1918 was killed in battle with the Bolsheviks under s. Spitsevka (near the village of Kononovka). He was buried in the Military Cathedral in Yekaterinodar .
Geideman died under the following circumstances:
Colonel Geideman rode on horseback with chains of Kubans with two orderlies, temporarily commanding a brigade. He turned left along the chain. The chain was interrupted, but Colonel Geideman continued to drive on. He rode a little when he saw a chain running and, approaching it, said something. ... And suddenly, out of her shots were fired at Colonel Geydemanu and those who were with him two upland. The chain turned out to be red. One orderly, however, managed to gallop and inform the Kuban about what had happened. Kuban found two tortured corpses. Embittered, they rushed forward and did not give mercy to anyone.
Soon the news of the death of Colonel Geideman reached Markovtsev who also stopped to take prisoners ...
