Play career
Johnny Pearson, born July 21, 1925 in Winnipeg ( Manitoba ), began his career in the junior hockey league in the team of “Montreal Junior Canadiens”. In 1946 , speaking for the McGill University McGill Redmen hockey club, won the university championship.
In the 1946/47 season, Pearson made his debut in the NHL in the Boston Bruins team, but he failed to gain a foothold in Boston in the first season and he played for two seasons in the Bruins farm clubs, the Boston Olympics and Hershey Beers, occasionally getting involved in games for the main team.
In the playoffs of the 1947/48 season, Pearson was able to prove himself, having scored 5 (3 + 2) points in five games, he was entrenched in the team. Over the next 9 seasons of his career in “Boston”, he four times reached the milestone of 20 goals in a season, which brought him a hit in the two matches of the NHL all-stars. After the end of the 1953/54 season, Pearson decided to end his playing career, but he returned a year later and spent another 3 seasons before finally leaving his hockey game.
