Biography

Mikhail Krymov was born on October 13, 1920 in the village of Semiluki (now in the Voronezh region ). After graduating from junior high school, he worked as an economics instructor in the Semiluksky district. In 1941, Krymov was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army . From the same year - on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. He graduated from the regimental school. By September 1943, Senior Lieutenant Mikhail Krymov commanded the 190th separate reconnaissance unit of the 132nd Infantry Division of the 60th Army of the Central Front . Distinguished during the forcing of the gums and the Dnieper [1] .

On September 18, 1943, at the head of the reconnaissance group, Krymov crossed the Desna near the village of Rudnya, Kozeletsky District, Chernihiv Oblast of the Ukrainian SSR, and knocked out the enemy from the positions he held, which contributed to the successful crossing of the main forces across the river. On September 20, 1943, the Krymov reconnaissance group crossed the Dnieper and conducted reconnaissance of the enemy troops, determining the place of the crossing of the Soviet units [1] .

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 17, 1943 for "exemplary performance of combat tasks of the command on the front against the German invaders and the courage and heroism shown" senior lieutenant Mikhail Krymov was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star ” , number 2833 [1] .

In the summer of 1944, sent to study in Moscow. In 1945 he graduated from the courses of improvement of command personnel. After the war, continued to serve in Dagestan . In 1946, in the rank of captain, he was discharged to the reserve; in the same year he was elected first secretary of the Makhachkala city Komsomol city committee, then secretary of the Soviet Communist Party committee of the city of Makhachkala. In 1953 he was sent to the Higher Party School at the Central Committee of the CPSU, then for party work in the Voronezh Region. Since 1962, he served as Secretary of the CPSU District Committee (head of the party organization) of the Rossoshansky District . He was elected people's deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR (March 1967) and a delegate to the XXIII Congress of the CPSU [2] . He lived in Voronezh , worked as deputy chairman of the Voronezh Regional Council of People's Deputies. Died April 21, 1992 , buried in the Kominternovsky cemetery of Voronezh [1] . He was awarded two Orders of Lenin, Orders of the October Revolution , World War 1-st degree, the Red Banner of Labor , the Red Star , two orders "Badge of Honor" , a number of medals [1] .
