Pyotr Jaroslav Sverczewski ( Polish. Piotr Jarosław Świerczewski ; April 8, 1972 , Nowy Sacz ) [3] - Polish footballer , central midfielder . Known for playing for the French clubs Saint Etienne , Bastia , Olympic (Marseille) and the Polish national team . Member of the 2002 World Cup , silver medalist of the 1992 Olympics . After completing his football career, he coached a number of Polish clubs. The younger brother of a professional soccer player, player of the Polish national team Marek Sverchevsky .

Club career
Sverchevsky is a pupil of the Sandetsya club, made his debut in professional football at the Katowice club, in which he spent 5 years. In 1993, he moved to the French Saint Etienne , in the French championship Sverchevsky spent most of his career playing a total of 10 seasons for French clubs, and spent the longest time at Bastia . In 2003, Sverchevsky returned to the Polish championship , for whose clubs he played until 2010, while during this time he changed many clubs, staying nowhere for longer than one season.
Team Career
As part of the national team, Sverchevsky made his debut on November 26, 1992 in a match with the Argentine national team . In total, he played 70 matches in the national team, in which he scored 1 goal. He became the silver medalist of the 1992 Olympics . He took part in the 2002 World Cup .
Coaching career
After completing his football career, Sverchevsky became a coach at the Znich club, and later coached the Lodz and Motor clubs (Lublin) .
