Biography
Born in the Grodno province in the family of the psalm reader . The younger brother Daniel (1880–1965) became the Archbishop of Pinsk and Polessky.
After graduating from the Lithuanian Theological Seminary in 1890, he was ordained priest in the village of Mikhalovshchina . Then he was elevated to the archpriest and moved by the abbot to the church in the village of Golshany, Oshmyany district. He was a royal (1906–1911), three times elected deputy of the clergy to diocesan congresses.
He became the organizer and chairman of the Golshansky Fire Brigade, the chairman of the sanitary commission, as well as the organizer and chairman of the board of the local savings and loan association. He founded the Golshansky Department of the Union of the Russian People , and was later elected a candidate member of the NRC Main Council (1912).
In 1912 he was elected to the State Duma from the Russian population of the Vilna province. He was part of the right faction. Was a member of the commissions: agricultural, financial, public education and religious issues. He spoke in defense of the Orthodox faith in the South-Western region from Catholic and Uniate influence.
After the October Revolution in emigration in Poland. He was known for his speeches in defense of Orthodoxy in Poland. In 1930 he was elected Vice-Chairman of the Pre-Council Assembly of the Orthodox Church in Poland.
The fate is unknown. He was a widower, had a daughter.
