History
Previously, the village was called Bardino. In the 18th century, the village was part of the Taininsky volost of the Moscow district, there were 24 courtyards and 139 people (69 men and 70 women). In 1997-1998, the Church of the Epiphany was erected in Borodino. On May 11, 2003, the newly rebuilt chapel was consecrated by the Archbishop of Mozhaisk Gregory in honor of the holy martyrs Elizabeth and the nun Barbara [2] .
Geography
The village is located in the southern part of Mytishchi district, about 3 km north of the Moscow Ring Road and 1 km west of Mytishchi . Ostashkovskoe highway passes through the village, dividing it into two parts. Altufevskoe highway adjoins it on the west side. The absolute height is 172 meters above sea level [3] . Nearby settlements are the village of Sgonniki , the village of Khovrino , the village of Veshki and the village of Chelobitevo .

According to the Russian census , in 2010 the population of the village was 256 people (106 men and 150 women). The age structure of the population was characterized by the following data: the working-age population was 143 people. (56%) of the total population, persons older than working age - 47 people. (18%), younger than working age - 66 people. (26%) [10] .
