Mark Joseph Emmers ( Dutch: Marc Jozef Emmers ; February 25, 1966 , Hamont-Ahel , Belgium ) is a Belgian footballer who played as a midfielder . Known for playing for the Belgian clubs Mechelen and Anderlecht , as well as the Belgian national team . Member of the world championships in 1990 and 1994 .

Content

Club career

Emmers began his career at Genk with the local Watershey team. In 1983, he made his debut for the team, and in his second season, he became the main football player. In the 1985/1986 season, the club flew into the second division, but Mark remained for another season to help Waterschey return.

In 1987, Emmers moved to Mechelen and in his first season he helped the club win the Jupilé League silver medals. In the same season, the club also became the owner of the Cup Cup , having beaten the Ajax Amsterdam in the final. In the second leg of the semi-final against the Italian Atalanta , Emmers scored the winning goal and led his team to the finals [1] . Later, Mark also became the owner of the UEFA Super Cup . In the summer of 1992, Emmers moved to Anderlecht .
