The exoplanet Kepler-49 b was discovered by the Kepler Space Telescope in 2012, using the transit photometry method based on observations of the passage of an exoplanet against the background of a star.

Native Star
Kepler-49 is a star that is in the constellation Cygnus about 978 light years from us. At least four planets are turning around the star.
Kepler-49 is an orange dwarf , about half the size of the sun . For the first time in astronomical literature is mentioned in the 2MASS catalog, published in 2003 . The mass of the star is 0.55 solar, and the radius is 0.53. The surface temperature of the star is approximately 3974 Kelvin .
