Akhnaf Ibragimovich Kharisov ( June 15, 1914 , D. Imennovo , Ufa Province [1] - May 15, 1977 , Ufa ) - writer, philologist, doctor of philological sciences, professor, honored worker of science of the Republic of Bashkortostan, member of the Writers' Union of the USSR.

Biography
Born into a mullah family. He studied at the school in the village Imennovo, then in high school in the village. Starobaltachevo .
After graduation, he entered the Faculty of Philology of the Bashkir State Pedagogical Institute. K.A. Timiryazeva . Having received a diploma of a teacher of the Bashkir language and literature in 1935, he was left there as a teacher of the Bashkir language and literature.
From 1937 to 1941 he studied in graduate school of the Institute of Turkology [ clarified ] under the leadership of a major Turkologist , Corresponding Member of the USSR Academy of Sciences, N. K. Dmitriev, and was the first student from among the Bashkirs.
He defended his thesis on the grammar of the Bashkir language - opened the multiplicity of verbs, introduced the concept of one-time, multiple, recurrence. In 1944 his dissertation was published in Ufa as a separate book.
After graduate school he served in the army, then worked at the Institute of History, Language and Literature of the BASSR . From 1948 to 1951 he was chairman of the Writers' Union of Bashkiria .
At the Institute of History, Language and Literature, he worked as a junior and senior research associate, director of the institute (1954-1963), then as deputy director. In 1966 he defended his doctoral thesis on the theme “The literary heritage of the Bashkir people of the XVIII — XIX centuries.”
The area of scientific interests of A.I. Kharisov is folklore and literary criticism , history of literature .
Kharisov Akhnaf Ibragimovikh is the author of more than 200 scientific papers on Bashkir linguistics , history and theory of literature, the work of individual writers, Bashkir folklore . He revealed the origins of Bashkir literature , showed the links of Bashkir literature with the classical culture of the East, with the literature of other nations.
As a writer, he wrote short stories, novels, essays and feuilletons - “Life Begins Again” (“Tormosh Yanynan Bashkan”).
The book by A.I. Kharisov “The literary heritage of the Bashkir people (XVIII — XIX centuries)” was published first in Bashkir (1965) and then in Russian (1973).
A.I. Kharisov is the author of a number of school textbooks on the theory and history of Bashkir literature and the style of the Bashkir language.
In the 1950s, under his editorship, a three-volume collection of oral folklore, a one-volume book of songs and tunes were published, he participated in the preparation of an eighteen-volume collection of Bashkir folklore.
He was buried in the city of Ufa in the Muslim cemetery .

In 2000, the Museum of A.I. Kharisov and a memorial plaque were opened at the Namevovo elementary educational school.
