Symmetrodontov [1] ( Latin Symmetrodonta ) - a group of Mesozoic mammals, previously considered in the rank of the detachment. The hallmark of the group is a special triangular molars . Lived from the end of the Triassic to the end of the Cretaceous. Most researchers in the XXI century came to the conclusion that they do not constitute a separate monophyletic group. However, the name "Symmetrodonta" is still informally used by some researchers for convenience [2] . Other researchers retained the taxon in the rank of the infraclass, reducing its volume to 4 extinct genera [3] .
