The KOI-13 b exoplanet was discovered by the Kepler space telescope in 2011 using the transit photometry method , based on observations of the passage of an exoplanet against a star background.
Native Star
KOI-13 is a double star in the constellation Lyra , at a distance of about 627 parsecs from Earth . Around the star, at least one exoplanet is drawn. The main component, KOI-13 A, is a white dwarf star with a surface temperature of 8511 ° K. The radius and mass of Kepler-38 A are 2.55 and 2.05 times greater than the solar, respectively. The second component, KOI-13 B, is presumably a white dwarf star. The radius and mass of Kepler-38 B is only 2.38 and 1.95 of the radius and mass of the Sun, respectively [3] .
