Dmitry Ivanovich Tyrtychny ( October 30, 1905 - August 28, 1977 ) - mortar commander of the 323rd Guards Mountain Rifle Regiment of the 128th Guards Mountain Rifle Division of the 3rd Mountain Rifle Corps of the 1st Guards Army of the 4th Ukrainian Front, Senior Sergeant - at the time of submission to the award of the Order of Glory of the 1st degree.

Biography
Born on October 30, 1905 in the village of Marukha, now Zelenchuksky district, Stavropol Territory . He worked on the collective farm "Memory of Lenin", Otradnensky district of the Krasnodar Territory. From 1927 to 1930 he served in the Red Army .
With the outbreak of World War II in June 1941, he volunteered for the Red Army .
In November 1943, in battles in the territory of the Nikolaev region as part of an intelligence group, he secretly penetrated the enemy’s location. As a result of the search, the scouts took five “languages”, including one officer. In battle Tyrtychny personally destroyed the machine gun crew of the enemy. On September 12, 1944, Sergeant Tyrtychny Dmitry Ivanovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree for exemplary fulfillment of the tasks of command and courage and bravery shown.
On October 14-18, in the battles for the settlement of Zvola, 16 km north of the city of Snina, Czechoslovakia, the guard sergeant Tvrtychny calculated to destroy the enemy mortar and machine gun point, a large amount of enemy manpower. December 14, 1944 for high courage, endurance and courage in the battles for the Carpathians, he was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.
In February - April 1945, the 128th Guards Mountain Rifle Division fought heavily in the Moravian-Ostrava direction, bypassing the city from the north-west. For courage in the final battles on the Czechoslovak land of the guard, the foreman Tyrtychny was awarded the Order of the Red Star.
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 23, 1945, for the exceptional courage, courage and fearlessness shown at the final stage of the Great Patriotic War of the Guard, Senior Sergeant Dmitry Ivanovich Tyrtychny was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree. He became the full holder of the Order of Glory.
He lived and worked in the village of Petrovskoye, Otradnensky District, Krasnodar Territory. He died on August 28, 1977.
