Tsipori ( Georgian წიფორი , Azeri. Yuxarı Güləver ) is a village of the Bolnisi municipality , Kvemo-Kartli region of the Republic of Georgia with a 97% Azerbaijani population . [5] It is located in the south-eastern part of Georgia, in the territory of the historic Borchaly region .

Content
History
The village of Tsipori ( Azeri. "Yuxarı Gül »ver" ) once formed a single whole with the neighboring village of Gota ( Azeri. "Aşağı Güləver" ), under the common name "Gülверver" ( Azeri. "Güləver" ). But later, as the population and area increased, it was divided into two parts: “Yuxarı Güləver” ( Russian. “Upper Gyulaver” ) and “Aşağı Güləver” ( Russian. “Nizhny Gyulaver” ). [6]
Toponym
In 1990–1991 , as a result of the change by the Georgian leadership of the historical toponyms of ethnic minority settlements in the region, the name of the village Yukhary Güläver (“ Azeri. Yuxarı Güləver ”) was changed to its present name - Tzipori. [7]
Geography
Tsipori village is located 17 km west of the regional center of Bolnisi , on the left bank of the Gedi River, at an altitude of 810 meters from sea level. [eight]
It borders on the villages of Cresci , Hahalajvari , Geta , Potskhveriani , Darbazi , Tanjia , Itsria , Dzedzvnariani , Dzveli-Kveshi , Dzhavshaniani , Kianeti and Kveshi of the Bolnisi Municipality . [9]
