Biography

Anatoly Berkovich was born on December 3, 1938 in the city of Priluki (Ukrainian SSR). Since 1954 he participated in factory amateur performances, was the head of the Zelenodolsk school choir (1965). In 1969 he graduated from the vocal department of the Kazan Conservatory (class V.A. Lazko). He was a soloist of the Kazan Opera House (1969-1972), the Kemerovo Philharmonic Society (1972-1973), the Chelyabinsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after M.I. Glinka (1973-1999). Over the years of work at the Chelyabinsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after M.I. Glinka sang approx. 30 parties. The concert repertoire consisted of romances, songs of different nations. In 1999 he emigrated to the United States.
