Jeremy Birkoff ( fr. Jérémy Bercoff ; born August 21, 1977 , Paris , France ) is a French physicist and inventor [1] . Under the scientific supervision of Matthias Finca, he defended his thesis in physics at the Higher School of Industrial Physics and Chemistry of Paris . Based on his work in the field of quantitative elastography, the international company SuperSonic Imagine (SuperSonic Imagin), specializing in medical imaging, was created . The head office of the company is located in Aix-en-Provence , France . Jeremy Birkoff is one of the founders of the company and the director of its ultrasound department [2] .

Quantitative Elastography
Together with Matthias Fink, he developed a method of high-speed ultrasound , producing 5000 images per second, in contrast to the maximum of traditional ultrasound at 50 images per second [3] . This method of quantitative elastography allows absolute (in kPa ) ultrasound measurement of the elasticity of biological tissue and, therefore, diagnostic indications indicating benign or malignant changes in tissues at risk (for example, when screening a breast or prostate ).
