Biography
He was born on July 9, 1922 in the city of Pyatigorsk now in the Stavropol Territory .
In the army since August 1940. In August 1942 he graduated from the Engels Military Aviation Pilot School . Since November 1942, a pilot of the 94th Bomber Aviation Regiment.
In 1943-1944, a test pilot of the Scientific Testing Institute of Aviation Weapons (the city of Noginsk ). He tested aircraft bombs on the Pe-2 and Tu-2 bombers .
In 1944-1951 test pilot of the State Red Banner Scientific and Testing Institute of the Air Force . He was engaged in testing aircraft weapons and jet engines on jet fighters Me-262 , La-15 and others.
In 1951-1954, a test pilot of the military acceptance of the Novosibirsk Aircraft Plant . He tested serial fighter jets MiG-15 , MiG-15UTI , MiG-17 and their modifications.
In 1954-1955, a test pilot of the military acceptance of the Voronezh aircraft factory . Tested serial IL-28 jet bombers and their modifications.
In June-December 1955, a test pilot of the military acceptance of the Novosibirsk Aircraft Plant. Tested serial MiG-17F fighter jets.
In 1955-1957, a test pilot at the Novosibirsk Aircraft Plant. He tested serial supersonic MiG-19 fighters and their modifications.
Since 1957, a test pilot at the Kazan Aircraft Plant . He took to the sky and tested the leading Tu-22 (1959}, Il-62 (1966) and Il-62M (1972} aircraft plants. He tested the serial jet bombers Tu-16 , Tu-22, Tu-22M, jet passenger aircraft Tu-22 104B , Tu-110 , IL-62, IL-62M and their modifications.
For the courage and heroism shown during the testing of new aircraft, Colonel Mashkovtsev Boris Vyacheslavovich was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated July 22, 1966 with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal 11265.
He died on November 23, 1973 during a test flight on a supersonic jet bomber Tu-22M2 [1] .
He was buried at the Arskoye cemetery in Kazan.
