Club career
Early career
In 2006, Okugo started playing football at IMG Soccer Academy. In 2009, he entered the University of California at Los Angeles and, during his studies, played for her Bruins football team.
MLS Careers
On the 2010 Superdraft, Philadelphia Union was chosen [1] . On March 26, in a match against Seattle Sounders , he debuted in the MLS [2] . Starting from the second season, Okugo became a footballer in the first team. On March 10, 2013, in a duel against the Colorado Rapids , he scored his first goal for the Union [3] .
In December 2014, Okugo moved to the newly-formed Orlando City [4] . On March 8, 2015, in the match against New York City , he debuted for a new team [5] .
In July 2015, Amobi was exchanged at Sporting Kansas City for Servando Carrasco [6] . On August 8, Okugo debuted for a new club in a duel against the Canadian “ Toronto ” for a new club [7] . Before the start of the 2016 season, Sporting Kansas City refused Amoby services [8] . The player was still in the contract with the league, and was leased to the farm club " New York Red Bulls II " [9] .
On May 16, 2016, Okugo signed a permanent contract with the Portland Timbers Club [10] . On June 2, in the match against San Jose Earthquakes , he made his debut for the new team [11] . At the end of the 2017 season, the club did not continue to renew the contract with the player [12] .
International Career
In 2011, as part of the US youth team, Okugo participated in the CONCACAF youth championship in Guatemala . In the tournament he played in matches against the teams of Suriname [13] and Guatemala [14] .
March 23, 2012 in the qualifying match for the Olympics in London against Cuba Amobi made his debut in the US Olympic team [15] .
