About the album

The son of the popular Jamaican singer Freddie Mackay and backing vocalist Tina Turner Beverly Foster, Andrew Chin has been fond of music since childhood [2] [3] . At first, he was going to play in pots, but eventually turned to the guitar [3] . Having cut off all the strings on the instrument, except for one, Andrew did not embarrass, and went out to play on the crowded streets of his native city [3] . Energetic and sincere performances of the young musician quickly spread fame about him in Jamaica [2] [4] .

The unexpected popularity of the video “Chicken in the Corn”, posted by Brushy on YouTube , opened the performer of an international audience and made it possible to attend several American music festivals [1] [3] [4] . In March 2013, the Destiny album was released in the USA and several European countries, which received positive critical assessments, such as “It is quite possible the most unusual record of the year” [5] .

Chin’s personality was also warmly received: “An amazingly soulful performer whose warm- molassic voice inflicts a fair amount of emotional blow and whose single-string riffs are unusually hypnotizing”, “King of a single-string guitar, Brushy is the quintessence of a Jamaican artist: creative, witty, witty, interesting ...> playing his one-stringed guitar, he really sounds like a whole group ” [6] [7] .
