Dmitry Alexandrovich Vilinsky (1840, the village of Yekaterininsky , Yeletsky county , Orel province (now Lipetsk region - after 1911) - Russian writer, poet, memoirist. The younger brother of the writer Marco Vovchok (real name and surname is Maria Alexandrovna Vilinsky) and a second cousin of Russian literature criticism of D.I. Pisarev .

Biography
Born in the family of an army officer, mother - nee Danilova - from Oryol nobles. Having lost their parents early, brother and sister were brought up in the estate of a cousin's aunt - V. D. Pisareva.
In 1855–1858 lived and studied in Nemirov . In 1885 he served in the Excise Department of the Chernigov Province. College assessor .
In 1907 he served as an assistant to the excise warder in Kazan (?).
Creativity
Hunter writer.
The author of hunting stories and poems. In the 1870s, he collaborated with a number of hunting magazines in Russia. His stories were published in the journals: Nature and Hunting, Canine and Gun Hunting, Russian Hunter, Hunter's Gazette, Hunters' Family, Hunting Newspaper, Hunting and Horse Breeding (1870-1872), “Hunt” (1877), “Book of the week” (1890), “Our hunt” (1909). His poems were also published in the latter.
Critics spoke positively about the work of D. Vilinsky, noting that his stories are populated by people obsessed with strong passions, in many stories hunting is only an excuse for developing melodramas and various conflicts. To bibliophile hunters, he is best known as the author of the book “Household Hunting Stories” (St. Petersburg, 1892), in which the author revealed many of the subtleties of hunting.
