Trestino (Firovsky district)

Trestino (formerly Krestino ) is a village in the Firovsky district of the Tver region . Belongs to the Veliky Oktyabrsky rural settlement . It is located 25 kilometers south of the district center of the village of Firovo , on the banks of the Trestinka River.

The population according to the 2010 census is 135 people.

The inter-district road Veliko - Oktyabrsky -Trestino- Zhdanovo passes through the village.

History

The village of Trestino has been known since the 13th century. It was part of the Ivanodvorsk volost of the Ostashkovsky district . In 1859 [1] in the village there were 57 households, 162 inhabitants.

In 1925, the Iskra dairy artel was created in Trestino, a barn for 25 animals was built, in 1929 the Luch collective farm was created, and in 1930 the Trud state farm was created. Since 1976, Trestino has been the center of the Tsna collective farm. In the village there was an 8-year-old school, a kindergarten, a recreation center, a life center, FAP, MTF. On the right bank of the Trestinka River there is a brick church of the Nativity of Christ (1847) - it was restored in 2013-2014, built on the site of a burnt wooden church.

In 1992 - 248 inhabitants. The population according to the 2002 census is 187 people, 87 men, 100 women. At this time, the village was the center of the Trestinsky rural district.
