History
The first written mention of Ikazni dates back to 1499 , when the land was acquired by the Braslav headman, Ivan Sapega . On March 25, 1504 , the Grand Duke of Lithuania Alexander Yagellonchik allowed him to found a castle and town here .
At the beginning of the 16th century, a church was built in Ikazni, which was soon rebuilt into a Calvinist cathedral. In 1515 a Moscow town was burned down, but the Ikaznensky castle withstood the siege. In the Livonian War in 1561 , they again attempted to seize the castle. Polish historian A. Gvagnini in the "Description of European Sarmatia" (second half | XVI century) noted that "Ikazn - a stone castle and wooden places ... from Braslav for 2 miles lies" .
In 1593, the owner of Ikazni Lev Sapega financed the construction of the Church of the Body and Blood of Christ, during which a school and a hospital were opened. In 1627, Jan Sapieha allocated money for the Uniate Church.
During the Russian-Polish war in 1654 Ikaznensky castle was occupied by Moscow, and in 1655 by Swedish troops. During the Northern War, Ikazn suffered greatly from the hostilities between supporters of Stanislav Leschinsky and Augustus the Strong (losses were estimated at 50 thousand florins ).
As a result of the second section of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in 1793, Ikazn was a part of the Russian Empire , in the Disna district of Minsk , and later in the province of Vilna . In 1800, the village passed into the possession of Braslavsky elder I. Buzhinsky, at this time there were 50 courtyards, a church, a church, a tavern, a mill and other buildings.
In 1919, Ikazn was one of the centers of the peasant uprising in Disna against the Bolshevik government (the “insurrection of the greens”). According to the Riga Peace Treaty in 1921, the place turned out to be part of the interwar Polish Republic , in the Perebrodskaya commune of the Braslav povet. As of 1931, there were 96 courtyards in Ikazny, a primary school, a mill, and a circle of the Belarusian Institute of Economy and Culture.
In 1939, Ikazn entered the BSSR , where in 1940 she became the center of the village council of the Braslav District. Later, the status of the settlement changed to the village. [one]
