The village is located in the central part of the region, 13 kilometers northeast of Ruza , on a nameless right tributary of the Ozerna River [5] , the height of the center above sea level is 203 m [6] . Near the western outskirts of the village, the A108 highway of the Moscow Big Ring passes, Staro is connected with Ruza and other localities by bus service [7] .
