Islam began to penetrate into Chad at the end of the XI century [3] . The spread of Islam in Chad was very slow, mainly due to difficult geographical conditions. The weak connection with the Arabs led to the fact that in Chad there are few people who know the Arabic language [4] .

About 48% of Muslims consider themselves Sunnis , 21% - Shiites and 4% - Ahmadites , the rest of the believers do not associate themselves with a particular group [5] .

Compared to other Muslim countries, such as Saudi Arabia, Islamic education in Chad is poorly developed [6] . The first Muslim school in Chad, École Mohamed Illech , was founded in 1918 [7] . To get a higher Islamic education, students from Chad travel to other countries, such as Egypt ( al-Azhar ), Sudan , etc.
